First there were the start-trek communicators. Not only did this technology come about in my lifetime, but it’s now taken for granted. Now we may see the beginning of Ripley’s dream (and VOTOMS and any number of anime.) This appears to be a working prototype of a power suit. It actually senses your muscle movement and augments it. Though this is primarily aimed at helping individuals with mobility challenges, I don’t see lifters as far behind… provided they can make sure people don’t trip with their cargo.
